Wet-Polished Robusta Coffee is grown in Dak Lak, Vietnam’s coffee capital, at an elevation of approximately 800 meters above sea level. The region accounts for more than half of Vietnam’s total Robusta production, making it one of the country’s most important origins for Robusta coffee.
After the initial hulling process, the coffee beans undergo polishing to remove remaining husk particles and impurities, resulting in a cleaner appearance and cup profile compared with standard dry-processed Robusta.
This process helps reduce the bitterness and astringency often associated with Robusta, producing a smoother, cleaner cup while retaining its full body and long-lasting finish. Typical flavor notes include dark chocolate, nuts, and wood, making it a preferred choice for roasters seeking to enhance the quality and sensory profile of Robusta coffee.
