Liberica Green Coffee Beans – Cleaned & Sorted, Grade 1

Submit a request

Liberica is one of the rarest coffee varieties and has the lowest production volume among the four major commercial coffee species in the world. In Vietnam, it is commonly known as “Jackfruit Coffee” because the tree and its leaves resemble those of a jackfruit tree, while its subtle aroma is reminiscent of ripe jackfruit.

The variety is grown sporadically in Kon Tum, Quang Tri, and Lam Dong at elevations of around 800 meters. Liberica beans are notably large and have a distinctive asymmetrical shape, producing a cup with fruity and woody aromas and natural sweetness reminiscent of dark chocolate or molasses. The coffee has a full body with significantly lower acidity than Arabica.

Thanks to its distinctive flavor profile, which is difficult to replicate with other varieties, Liberica is often used to add character to specialty coffee blends or to create distinctive flavor profiles in instant coffee products.
